Our Premium Timber Selection
When it comes to building a weatherproof garage, the right timber makes all the difference. We use only handpicked green oak and Douglas-fir, sourced sustainably and vetted for unmatched strength and durability.
Oak is a particularly favoured material for constructing timber buildings because it naturally strengthens over time as it ages. This makes the material less likely to warp or crack in ways which could weaken it. The only change you’ll notice in most cases is the wood becoming darker.
Fully Pressure-Treated Wood
We also ensure that all of our wood is pressure-treated as part of our process. This involves penetrating the timber material with a selection of high-quality wood preservatives. It’s considered the best and most effective method of both preserving and extending the life of timber products across the industry.
When the preservatives are injected into the wood, they form an impenetrable barrier. This provides the wood with long-lasting protection from insect infestations, as well as problems which could be exacerbated by wet weather – such as rot and decay.
